Objective:
To enlarge opening of Dry Dock to allow larger ships to pass through. For dismantling, Houston Sawing & Drilling wire sawed 5 ft. thick x 7 ft. wide x 17 ft. high sections out of both sides of Dry Dock. Most of the work was under water.

Objective: Saw cut grooves on runway for traction. Houston Sawing & Drilling worked around the clock to saw cut grooves in 10,000 ft. of new runway to meet FFA Specifications.

Objective: Grind W. Park Tollway to meet TxDot Ride Quality Specifications. Houston Sawing & Drilling used their Highway Pavement Grinder to grind numerous miles of pavement to reach an acceptable ride quality.
Client: FREEPORT LNG PLANT - QUINTANA ISLAND, TEXAS
Objective:
Drill 600 1 3/8” dia. x 10” deep holes to mount catwalk around LNG Holding Tanks. In order to drill holes quickly, Houston Sawing & Drilling Used 3 - speed hand held core drills to complete project before Plant Opening.
Client: ROHM AND HAAS - HOUSTON, TEXAS
Objective: Plant needed a 72” dia. hole in an elevator floor 11” thick of a Distillation Unit to set a 70” O.D. Vessel. Houston Sawing & Drilling used a wire saw with a Hydraulic Activated Arm, designed and built in house, to guide the wire to cut the 72” hole.
Client: CLOEREN INCORPORATED - ORANGE, TEXAS
Objective: To cut out 120’ x 40’ area in machine shop floor without creating vibration that would throw off their computer controlled machine centers. Houston Sawing & Drilling used a combination of diesel power concrete saws and core drills to cut through the slab. A 72” diamond blade was used to cut through the 30” thick beam. Drilled corner to eliminate over cuts. Concrete was lifted out in blocks.
